1. Never sell yourself short!
You have more worth than you will care to admit and that should reflect in the business you offer your clients. They will respect you more if you don’t undersell your skills. 

2. After meeting potential clients always follow up.
Sometimes we get too caught up in the moment and forget the simplest of actions. People will keep you in their memory bank when you thank them for the opportunity to speak with them. Having a great demeanor in person is great, but continuing the conversation through email is an essential part of building the relationship. It’s also smart to recount a specific part of the conversation to show them that you have an interest in what they had to say. Attention to detail is never a bad thing!

3. Always be prepared.
In any industry you are in you never know when opportunity will hit. Be Ready! Have your business cards in your back pocket or in your wallet. Clients may be a handshake away! If you are a freelancer of some sort always have double (even triple) of every supply. You’ll never know when you will need them! 

4. Create Mock ups for new clientele.
Whenever you meet a new client for a follow up meeting have questions ready to get to know them better. Find out what they are about. In doing this you show initiative and allow them to see the kind of worker you are! 

5. Bring a good attitude!
Too often we let our outside problems interfere with our work. Once you enter their space they are ours until you leave their sight! Give them all that you have. They will appreciate it!!
